Q&A

When and where does the festival take place?: Peachtree City, Georgia, early 2017.

Where is the entry form?: Click here to complete the entry form online

What is the final deadline for entry?: Both entry forms and films must be received by December 19th, 2016.

Does my film have to focus on the theme? No! We are accepting all short films created by youth across the three age categories. We will offer awards in these groups, regardless of the film topic. However, we will offer special recognition and additional prizes to those films that offer the most convincing topics on the realities young adults face

If my film is selected, should I attend the festival?: Definitely! You should begin thinking about plans to attend the festival as soon as you submit your film. Buy your tickets in advance!

Why attend?: See your film by a receiving audience with immediate feedback. Meet industry professionals and participate in panels and workshops. And did we mention cash prizes? Other prizes, including a change to be in a feature film will be announced later.

Can Elementary and Middle School kids submit a film?: Yes! Anyone 21 or under can submit. We even have special awards for very young filmmakers.

Is there any help with travel and lodging?: If you are from out-of-town, we offer a range of hotels that can accommodate you. Please visit this website to learn more, http://visitpeachtreecity.com/.

How are the films selected? Who watches them?: A team of professionals and film enthusiasts from around the world watch every film submitted. Each film is watched by at least a dozen jury members, and then a jury of professionals will make the final selections. Films will be rated on creativity, topic relevance, storytelling, filmmaking techniques, and audience appeal.

Do you give out any awards?: Yes, we give cash prizes and Awards to the winning films in several categories. In addition, we will be adding industry prizes that include opportunities to work in film. Some of these include: appearing in a feature film, signing with an agent, interning behind the scenes on a set, and more!

Can my film screen publicly prior to your festival?: Yes, although we prefer that you don’t hold a public screening in Georgia prior to the festival.

Can my film be online prior to festival?: Yes, but we recommend you don’t advertise your film online prior to the festival.

Do I get in free?: Every film submitted will come with one complimentary general admission ticket. If your film is chosen as a finalist, you will be given a VIP ticket to attend the Red Carpet Experience and all VIP events.

Can there be any adult actors in the film?: Of course. The filmmaker must be in the age range, but the actors can be any age.

How many films can I submit?: We do not limit the number of films from an individual filmmaker, school, or program.
